From the Secretary's Desk

For the year 2012-2013 Sanskar has continued to do its best by bringing about social empowerment to the women, men by upgrading their ability to manage micro credit and small domestic trade.

Efforts were made for the child education on the platform of “Sarva Siksha Abhiyan”. Short term new partnership was initiated with Mahila Samakhya Society under Social Welfare Govt. of Jharkhand on the issue of “Hand Washing”. Efforts have been made in the field of Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, Jal Sahiya Training and construction of toilets and awareness on hygiene at community level, at present is showing results.

Sanskar by staying true to its vision has provided vocational training to the youths in three streams namely, beautician’s course, basics in computer application and plumbing. Some of them are already earning by themselves.

Contribution towards attaining the MGD goal in the segment of control of Tuberculosis Sanskar is working in three districts of Bokaro, Dhanbad and Simdega where on basis regular awareness is done and suspects are referred and follow up done of persons who are on medication.

AVHY program proved a breather for the artisans in the three blocks of Bokaro district. Sanskar took initiative to from 45 SHG groups with 604 members and they were linked with the bank.

Through our trainings and workshops we influence and motivate volunteers and groups/communities within which they work, and encourage them to contribute towards the development sector. By consolidating activities and expanding our collaborations, we strive to add strength and value to the work of partners in the field of governance and advocacy.

The organization stands committed to people’s wisdom and knowledge and facilitate them to take responsibility to decide and choose the way and means for their own growth and advancement.

I would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all our committed volunteers, partners and donors for their technical and financial support and to my governing body members and staff for their involvement and commitment which has enabled us to implement all those programs successfully.
